SEAHUM visits BNPB to Strengthen Regional Humanitarian Collaboration

On 14 November 2025, the Southeast Asia Humanitarian Committee (SEAHUM) made an official visit to the National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) office in Indonesia. During the visit, SEAHUM met with Mr Puji Pujiono (Advisory Board of the National Disaster Management Authority of the Republic of Indonesia).

The meeting provided an important opportunity to discuss strategic humanitarian issues in the ASEAN region, particularly in the context of increasing disaster risks and complex humanitarian challenges. The discussions focused on exploring potential areas of cooperation and synergy between SEAHUM and BNPB, particularly in the areas of disaster risk reduction, emergency response, and cross-border humanitarian assistance.

Through this engagement, SEAHUM reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening regional coordination and collaboration with national authorities to ensure more effective, timely and coordinated disaster management and humanitarian responses. This visit was a significant step towards strengthening partnerships that promote resilience, preparedness, and collective humanitarian action across the region.
