SEAHUM Holds “Mastering the Logical Framework” Training in Bandung
Bandung, 28 August 2026 — SEAHUM successfully conducted a three-day training titled “Mastering the Logical Framework,” held from 26 to 28 August 2026 at Gedung Relawan SSG Daarut Tauhiid, Bandung. The training brought together participants from various institutions who came together to strengthen their capacity in designing structured, measurable, and impactful development programs.
Over the course of three days, participants were guided through three core frameworks that form the foundation of effective program design: Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA), Theory of Change (ToC), and Logical Framework Analysis (LFA).
Day 1: Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA)
The training opened with an introduction to Participatory Rapid Appraisal, a method used to understand real conditions on the ground through direct community engagement. Participants learned the fundamentals of PRA, practiced hands-on PRA techniques, and worked on translating field findings into clear problem statements. This session emphasized that a solid logical framework can only be built upon a genuine understanding of the underlying problem.
Day 2: Theory of Change (ToC)
On the second day, the focus shifted to Theory of Change. Participants explored the core concepts of ToC and worked through the Pathway of Change, mapping out how intended outcomes could realistically be achieved. By the end of the session, each participant had produced a draft Theory of Change, moving directly from theory into practical application.
Day 3: Logical Framework Analysis (LFA)
The training concluded with a session on Logical Framework Analysis. Participants were introduced to the LFA approach and learned how to develop a structured and applicable logframe. The session also covered the development of measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the design of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to support the achievement of program goals.
Closing Remarks
Through this three-day training, participants gained a comprehensive set of skills to design work programs that are more focused, measurable, and results-oriented. SEAHUM extends its appreciation to all participants who took part in the training from start to finish and looks forward to welcoming them at future programs.
