SEAHUM collaboration with Rumah Zakat , PhilCARE , and Clingendael Institute organized Humanitarian Capacity Building:
– Negotiation Skills for Humanitarian Aid Workers
– Voluntary Management for Humanitarian Organizations
This activity was held in Marawi City, Philippines. Humanitarian Capacity Building is carried out to improve negotiation skills for Humanitarian Workers in the Philippines, support them in negotiating more effectively, as well as increase knowledge regarding voluntary management.
This activity was attended by 3 facilitators including Farah Ghassani (Dompet Dhuafa), Nurmansyah (Rumah Zakat) and Abdoel Malik (MDMC).
The main meeting has the main focus of introducing participants to the negotiating phases, the 2 types of negotiations and the PIN Model. Whereas on the second day the focus was on Behavior and Communication in Negotiations, also equipped with a Humanitarian Negotiation Clinic where participants could share experiences and also consult on obstacles during negotiations.
The third day of the training has the main focus on introducing and providing insight regarding volunteer recruitment, the main tasks of volunteers, etc
