The 5th Annual General Meeting of SEAHUM

The 5th Annual General Meeting of Southeast Asia Humanitarian Committee 4-5 October 2023 in Malaysia has ended. This meeting was attended by humanitarian organizations from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Laos. The Annual General Meeting was officiated by Mr. Kamarul Zaman as President of SEAHUM which was then followed by a keynote speech by Dr. Fauziah Mohd Hasan

1st day, we start with the Humanitarian Talkshow about “Nurturing Localization Efforts to Improve Southeast Asia Humanitarian Affairs”

After that, we continue with the Humanitarian Talkshow about “Islamic Philantrophy as a solution for addressing the humanitarian financing gap”. With the speakers :

1. Murni Alit Baginda (Rumah Zakat) – How Zakat becomes a funding innovation in humanitarian missions?

2. Roha Hassan (MyCARE) -How to collect humanitarian funds (infaq & Sedekah) in humanitarian missions?

3. Mohd Jamil Bin Muda (HALUAN) – Education for refugees – issues to be addressed

4. Nadhera (PhiCare) – Best Practice of Phicare Programs

5. Syamsul Ardiansyah (Dompet Dhuafa)- Addressing the Humanitarian Financing Gap
