TALK SHOW “The Socio-Economic Impact of Qurban Initiatives in the Gaza Strip”
SEAHUM (Southeast Asia Humanitarians Committee) in collaboration with Al-Khair Southeast Asia and proudly organized a talk show titled “The Socio-Economic Impact of Qurban Initiatives in the Gaza Strip” on Monday, May 5, 2025 in Jakarta.
The session was opened by Imam Qasim Rashid Ahmad, Founder and Chairman of Al-Khair Foundation, who emphasized the importance of sustainable and effective humanitarian engagement in Gaza.
The forum, which featured speakers Erick Yusuf (Founder of Sanubari Palestine), Mohammad Y. Hasna (Global Director of Al-Khair Foundation), and Pizaro Gozali Idrus (Executive Director of Baitul Maqdis Institute), explored how Qurban programs go beyond ritual practice to serve as a vital socio-economic lifeline in conflict-affected areas. The event aimed to deepen the discourse on the intersection of faith-based giving, economic resilience, and long-term community development in Gaza.
