4th Annual General Meeting SEAHUM

SEAHUM Prepares Post-Covid19 Humanitarian Program Collaboration 

Bandung–(12/03) The Southeast Asia Humanitarian (SEAHUM) Committee has strengthened its commitment to collaborative programs in the humanitarian field.

Located at Hemangini Hotel, Kel. Hegarmanah, Kec. Cidadap, Bandung City. All SEAHUM members gathered.

Meetings are held online and offline. The participants came from Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Timor Leste, and Indonesia.

With a total of 40 participants from various humanitarian institutions or institutions in Southeast Asia.

The theme of this meeting is “Humanitarian Aid at the Post-Pandemics: Where Should Humanitarian Aid Go Next?”.

“Encouraging program synergies among humanitarian organizations,” explained Murni Alit Baginda in his speech as SEAHUM’s Vice President of Capacity Building.

This meeting aims to consolidate disaster and humanitarian activist organizations.

First, by aligning the vision and mission of each institution that is part of the SEAHUM committee.

Second, collaboration with each institution’s humanitarian program in the post-covid-19 era.

Through a series of talk show agendas hosted by Haryo Mojopahit (Chief Executive DMC Dompet Dhuafa) as moderator.

The speakers were Kamarul Zaman (President of the SEAHUM Committee/Chief Executive Officer of MyCare), Andi Noor Faradiba (Senior Manager of Global Humanity Network ACT), and Nurmansyah (Manager of Disaster Risk Reduction of Rumah Zakat).

Describes the condition of people in Southeast Asia who have been affected by the presence of the Covid-19 pandemic. As well as several programs that can be integrated in alleviating problems caused by Covid-19.

In addition to the humanitarian problems caused by Covid-19. Other humanitarian issues were also raised, such as the problem of major migration due to the social conflict in Myanmar, the impact of natural disasters, and others.
